3days Work-Week

B4 you go telling me how much you envy me for this, let me tell you that I didn't need a 3day work-week for this kind of reason....

I was down with gastric flu.... At least that was what the doctor had told me.

I had woken up several times ytd in the middle of the night feeling weird and bloated but dismissed it as another will-soon-go-away-bloatedness. Guessed I was pretty wrong. I went to work despite feeling the symptoms but I succumb to it and went to the company doctor at 11am. He gave me 2day's worth of MC which I immediately utilises.

The feeling is terrible and I cannot imagine anyone telling me its an enjoyable feeling. Well, at least I've yet to encounter any freaks out there feeling so. The nausea sensation constantly bugs you, I can barely lie down without the fear of my tummy content spilling out. I can barely drink for fear of activating the 'outpour', don't even think about eating.... Lying down is another chore altogether due to the aches all around the body. These aches are simply different from those muscle aches which I sometimes came to enjoy for that means I've really worked my body hard. Back to these aches, they are ever present no matter you are sitting up, standing or even lying down! THEY JUST SEEMED TO NEVER GO AWAY!!

My BC class is affected (missed 2 classes - ytd & today), meals affected, sleep affected.... fell asleep 8pm and woke up in the middle of the night again at around 3am (to switch off the lights). Today's much better for me, the nausea sensation had receded, so had the aches. And I was able to go for 2 short spans of walks around my estate. That really perks me up quite abit!

One thing I've learn from this episode though : that I've still got plenty of friends out there who are concerned about me. They smsed, msned or call me when they heard about my condition from Garion... :)

To all those who cared and had wished me well, a very big THANK YOU to you. May you be blessed with good health and never had to endure what I've been thru. :)
